RSMV - Dangerous Business Since 1979 (Unfinished, read desc.)

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

And I thought an external hard-drive was supposed to save files…? Not only is my external hard-drive having extreme problems, but I’ve lost half of my raw rsmv files for this rsmv. My computer was running slow again a bit ago, so I restored it to factory settings. Making sure I didn’t lose any RSMV material, I dragged my RSMV folder into my external hard-drive to save them. I backed up my computer, reloaded it, and I realize my external hard-drive now is corrupt or something. You couldn’t play ANY of the files in the hard-drive, or use them. I thought about it, and downloaded fraps, which seemed to help some of the RSMV files. Some are playable now, but still half remain useless. Not only this, I just remembered that half of my rsmv files are COMPLETELY gone. As in, I forgot there was ANOTHER folder located in my C Drive that contained around half of the raw rsmv clips. So, there’s no hope at all for those files. So all in all, about 1/4 of my total rsmv files for this project are saved. Not only that, the only preview videos I have were rendered in DVD quality. (Or maybe even less?) So, no HD there. This is the best I can give you guys, I’m really sorry. I also finished some other parts in the song, but they’re scattered throughout so it’d look like a mess if I just put them all together. Anyway.. .. I blame vista. Anyways, I hope you enjoy. I’d like to give a BIG thanks all my viewers for supporting me, watching my videos, and always having faith in me. Thank you so

24. Making It Work for Real People: The Democratization of Finance

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Financial Markets (ECON 252) Professor Shiller, in his final lecture, reviews some of the most important tools for individual risk management. Significant inequality in domestic and international communities has created a need for social insurance programs, such as those created in Germany in the late 1800s. The tax system, bankruptcy laws, and government insurance programs are used to manage risk of personal wealth. However, each of these inventions must take account of psychological factors, such as moral hazard, in order to be effective without eliminating incentives to participate in the workforce, or other negative side effects. With regard to careers, including those in finance, young people should frame decisions with morality and purpose in mind, and with a broad perspective of both. Complete course materials are available at the Open Yale Courses website: open.yale.edu This course was recorded in Spring 2008.

Tuesday: Best Opening Credit Sequence Ever!

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

www.youtube.com This week I “review” the best credit sequence to a movie…EVER! The movie is “Flight of the Navigator” and it involves dogs catching frisbees in slow-motion. I don’t what the hell this has to do with the movie other than the spaceship kind of looks like a frisbee, but damn is it awesome! This is part of a video from my main account “Vlog of a Madman #3″ that I deleted due to copyright. So enjoy it while you can!
