Raila, Uhuru differ on Mau ‘pay out’
of government this evening over the reported but denied deal to compensate the so-called big fish in Mau forest. An exchange of statements ensued on Tuesday involving officials at the Prime Ministers office and that of the minister for Finance Uhuru Kenyatta over the matter. the best way to solve land issue in Kenya is to impose heavy land taxes on these people who own huge parcels of land in Kenya. Kenyatta, Moi, Raila and the likes will sell off their land quick.

Uhuru is lying! the original Ndungu report declared that titles in mau should be revoked. Ironically the Ndungu report was written when MOI was in power. MPS changed the law to compensate the title holders. What uhuru is not saying is that the govt paid his family to acquire land meant for squatters.

@jamanyoro the law was changed my MPS to allow these people to be compensated. Raila is enforcing the law. I used to sympatise with Kenyans but they keep voting in the same people. Let Kenyans suffer for all i care. Waumie wote. Pay MOI and his goons. Kenyans tolerate corruption that is why Saitoti is still in power and the guy who blew the whistle on Goldenberg is dead after being fired from his job and stress took the better part of him.

@jamojiz: Please kindly note, I am a staunch supporter of Raila, especially because we both have an Anglo-Saxon background. But he seems to be surrounded by the wrong people who give him the wrong advice day in day out and is mercilessly squandering the RV support. If anybody closer to Raila reads my comments, take them seriously: Peace in RV should be Railas priority. Other things come second. If not, Kibaki wird die Chance schnappen um eine Politische Erbe hinterlassen zu wollen.

The leopard is now tending the goats for a few heads of mbuta (PM motorcade,sycophant kajuang in immigration,sister as ambassodor etc), whilst the goat meat (finance ministry,defense,army,provincial admin etc) is being eaten by the muturas. Upto Taita hills meeting he was not happy, then something changed (what?) and the leopard is now very happy eating mbuta fish heads ! Very very fishy, can someone explain?!!

I do not think there are any good, visible selfless leaders in Kenay at the momment. You’ve got to give credit to Raila. He started fighting for democracy when Kibaki was VP. Moi detained him several times, endured house arrest all in the name of democracy. His family was harrassed that is why his wife has never trusted MOI. He made Kivbaki win elections by saying Kibaki Tosha. He has kept the goverment in check

Mau compensation unfortunately must be made. A peaceful RV is truly and illogically tallied to how the Mau resettlement problem will be resolved. The problem is heightened by the desire to resettle the IDPs in the RV. Therefore Raila is not enough to solve the RV problem: it is a problem between the Kalenjin and the Kikuyu. In tribal Kenya Kibaki must secretly negotiate with the Kalenjin for a compromise. This is why Raila was not at the State House Meeting with Kibaki, Uhuru, Ruto and Orengo.

Uhuru’s dad owned the vast land along Thika road from Muthaiga to Makuyu.Figure this, he gave K.U and JKUAT land, owned almost all Muthaiga upto rwaka, Upto date owns Brookside land from Kahawa up to Kangundo rd, Sold Kakuzi land, Owned Ndarugo and juja quarries and Delmonte land is a question up to date.What a waste in the name HAYATI.

Uhuru and Raila’s parents were enemies. A repeat is bound to happen if we let them. We don’t need to be taken in circles here . THIS IS A STRAIGHT FORWARD CASE. Moi and his innner circle stole land in Mau forest and elsewhere plus money. We need everything back. There should be no compessation in matter of fact, Moi should be put in jail for a few days!
