is it just me or is anyone else tired of hearing this bullshit “thats not real punk, they`re posers, your not a real punk”. hearing that shit makes me wanna take a sldgehammer and hit someone in the face as hard as i could
The almighty critics love to say what’s punk or not and most of them say ‘That’s not punk’. Yes, we’ll never get anywhere if we just complain and complain about bands.
Where are we now? We were trying to get this music out to everybody so they could hear what punks have to say and now that there are bands out there who have gotten the mainstream audience, we hate on them?
Let’s not wait for someone to say ‘punk rock never had a future’.
2 years after punk was glorious, everyone in the punk scene started being called a poser. Some punk bands that came after the 70s never got any good future without criticism.
I mean come on.. If anyone was a punk living in between those two years, they could do anything they want to define punk. Now, if someone’s dressed as a punk, we call them posers for some reason: unknown.
Is that how sensitive punks nowadays that we love to criticize each other so much?
I’ve pretty much had enough about everybody calling everyone posers.
Haven’t you idiots noticed that punk will never be punk if you keep saying what’s punk or not. ‘Punk is about wearing what you want’. ‘No punk is not wearing what you want’. ‘Punk wearing studded bracelets’. ‘Punk is not about wearing studded etc.’. ‘Punk is about being against the law’. ‘Punk is not only about being against the law’.
this is one of the funniest things i’ve seen in a while. aside from the vaguely homophobic remarks that could most of my friends. i have friends that live in squats in london so……. or berlin or….. some have us have punx tattooed on ours hands.
you’re an illiterate dumbshit. he didn’t live their, he stayed the night their with the other guys when they got drunk. that’s where they practiced too. Ive seen all those vids. i was in them as well as the battle for the cuckoos next video.
and 77 punk was damn good if you were in the scene back then. discharge, screamers, weirdos, etc etc. that was THE year but it did get better with the original hardcore bands like TSOL, etc.

That’s how arguments about punk go on today.
